End of Year Performance

The theatre we usually use had to cancel all events this summer, including our show. After 2 months of searching, we have a new location, but we had to change the date.

THE RECITAL IS NOW:

MAY 26 AT CARTERVILLE BAPTIST CHURCH

Roots/Extra Dances - Arrive at 12:45

Plie, Chasse, Jete, Arabesque, Pirouette, Fouette Classes- Arrive at 2:45

Petite Class - Arrive at 3:45


SCHEDULE

1:00-3:00 Act 2 

3:10-4:20  Act 1

4:30-5:30 Full dress rehearsal

5:30 Snack

5:50 Worship

6:30 Places

7:00 Start show


Dancers WEAR:

  • Pink ballet tights 

  • Ballet leotard

  • Street clothes over ballet clothes

  • Hair in a bun 

  • Red lipstick, pink blush, natural eyeshadow 

Dancers BRING:

  • Costumes 

  • Change of clothes 

  • Water bottle

  • Snacks (we don’t have access to a microwave or fridge)

CHECK IN:

  • Walk your dancer to check-in area. After she is checked in, you are welcome to either sit in the auditorium or you are free to leave and come back

  • Parents/guardians cannot go back in the dressing room until dismissal.


DISMISSAL:

  • ONLY one person can go to hallway to check out dancers during dismissal. SPACE IS LIMITED.

  • The person must be someone you listed on the dismissal form

  • The person must show ID


INFO FOR ALL DANCERS:

  • No jewelry or bows

  • Any undergarments must be skin tone

  • Dancers can wear a leotard under their costumes, but it should not be noticeable

  • Gum & electronics are not allowed in dressing room

  • Any personal items must be kept in a bag with the dancer. Volunteers cannot keep up with kids items

  • Shoes checked out from Leaps of Faith in August must be returned after the performance 


COSTUME CARE:

  • Costumes can only be worn for picture day, dress rehearsal, and performance

  • Do not wear them to play in

  • Besides water, eating and drinking is not allowed while in costume


HAIR & MAKE UP

  • Hair - in a ballet bun, off face, pulled back

  • Make Up - natural face, pink blush, red lipstick, mascara

Carline Reminders!

No drop-offs in carline. Please park and walk dancers in. Older dancers may walk themselves but cannot be dropped off from a car.

Pull all the way up to the pole by the garage door when you’re in the front of the line.

Stay in line. Wait for cars ahead to move-do not drive around them. It's unsafe.

Enter carline from the road by the park so the passenger side is closest to the studio.

  • Unexcused and Excused absences are all counted as an absence.

    Students can only miss 4 classes/rehearsals. Once a child misses more than 4, she cannot perform that year, even if one is excused.

    This is because the girls cannot learn the dances outside of rehearsals, and it messes up and entire group dance when someone is missing.
