Celebrate, Spring Recital ‘22
"Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations." Psalm 100.
This year has definitely been a year full of reasons to celebrate! We opened a second campus this year, LOF for the first time ever has a full-time director, one of our teachers is having a baby after we prayed and prayed that the Lord would give her a child! But this has also been a year of deep grief and sadness. Death of people we didn’t think we would lose for many years, relationships that were broken in ways we never imagined, and unanswered prayers that we prayed for just as fervently as we prayed for our friend who is having a baby…
All semester as we put this recital together, I’ve been reminded that the reason we celebrate and the reason we have joy is not because of anything we have in this world. The Lord has been teaching me that He is my joy, regardless of my circumstances or what the journey looks like. He’s been teaching me to love Him for who He is, not for what He does for me. He is our joy and He is what we’re celebrating tonight.
